Peninsula Tramping Club: The Club Experience
The Peninsula Tramping Club offers a welcoming atmosphere where outdoor enthusiasts come together to enjoy the thrill of tramping. As one of Christchurch's established tramping clubs, we foster a strong sense of community spirit among members who share a love for recreation in nature. Our group consists of people of all ages, creating a diverse and supportive environment for everyone interested in exploring the outdoors.
We organise regular trips tailored to suit different levels of fitness and tramping experience. These outings range from easy day trips ideal for newcomers to more demanding hard expeditions that may span long weekends or even a week or more. This variety ensures that whether you're seeking a gentle stroll or a rigorous challenge, there's something to match your preferences. In addition to our tramping activities, we hold a monthly club meeting and a variety of social events to build connections and share stories from the trails.
Club nights take place on the second Tuesday of each month at the Baptist Church Hall, starting promptly at 7.45 pm with doors opening at 7.30 pm. These gatherings provide an excellent opportunity to learn about upcoming adventures, hear trip reports, and meet like-minded individuals passionate about tramping in New Zealand.
