Christchurch Photographic Society: The Club Experience

Christchurch Photographic Society provides a friendly setting for people with an interest in photography. The club is open to all, regardless of experience level or the type of camera used. Members gather regularly to take part in tutorials, competitions and presentations from photographers, creating opportunities to learn and share knowledge in a relaxed atmosphere. With approximately 150 members, the society supports a steady group of enthusiasts who value practical sessions and community interaction throughout the year.

Our Home Ground

The club meets at the Canterbury Workers Education Association at 59 Gloucester Street in Christchurch Central City. This central Canterbury location makes it convenient for members across the city to attend the weekly Wednesday sessions. Meetings run at 8pm every Wednesday from February through November, giving participants a consistent schedule for photography activities during those months.
